We provide integrated support across branding, websites, digital marketing, content, advertising, print, and ongoing marketing operations.

We are strengthening our commercial operations and looking for a results-oriented professional to help grow our client base and revenue. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, managing the sales process, and converting qualified opportunities into profitable, paying customers.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified Business Development Executive at SMAT Marketing Limited based in Block A, Martyrs Mall, second floor Namugongo Road, Ntinda.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Research and identify prospective business clients within SMAT’s target markets.
- Build and maintain a qualified database of potential clients and decision-makers.
- Generate opportunities through direct outreach, LinkedIn, email, referrals, networking, and other appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular prospecting activities to maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Sales & Client Acquisition:
- Engage prospective clients to understand their marketing needs, challenges, and budgets.
- Qualify leads and arrange meetings with relevant decision-makers.
- Present SMAT’s services and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of quotations and proposals.
- Negotiate within approved pricing and commercial guidelines.
- Follow up consistently and convert qualified opportunities into signed, paying clients.
- Coordinate client onboarding and handover to the operations team.
Business Growth & Relationships:
- Identify opportunities for recurring service contracts and long-term client engagements.
- Develop referral networks and commercially valuable partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services to existing clients.
- Maintain professional relationships with prospects and clients.
- Gather relevant market and competitor intelligence to support business growth.
Sales Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of leads, client engagements, proposals, and sales activities.
- Keep the company’s CRM or approved sales tracker updated.
- Prepare weekly pipeline reports and monthly sales performance summaries.
- Track pending proposals, follow-ups, and expected closures.
- Provide realistic revenue forecasts and report progress against targets.

Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition.
Demonstrated ability to independently generate leads, engage decision-makers, and close business.
Experience in B2B selling is an added advantage.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Working knowledge of LinkedIn, email, CRM systems, and standard office productivity tools.
