Job Description

Makindye Medical Clinic in Kampala is hiring a full-time Clinical Officer. This role involves providing direct patient care, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, and managing emergency cases as needed.

The Clinical Officer will work closely with nurses, lab technicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient management. Daily tasks include conducting physical examinations, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists when necessary. The position requires someone who can handle a busy clinic environment and maintain accurate medical records.

This role suits a qualified Clinical Officer with a diploma or higher in clinical medicine and at least two years of experience in a similar setting. Familiarity with Ugandan healthcare protocols and strong communication skills in English and Luganda are essential. Experience in maternal and child health or chronic disease management is an added advantage.

The successful candidate will report to the Medical Director and participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient cases and clinic operations. They should be prepared to work some weekends and be on call for emergencies as required.
