Job Purpose: To effectively administer the World Vision Uganda compensation and benefit programs and plans in line with the World Vision Total Rewards Philosophy and facilitate the understanding of these programs through on-going communication, policy and process development. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate payroll and employee benefits, and managing the World Vision Uganda Provident fund, ensuring timely remittance of statutory obligations, reconciling payroll and provident fund accounts, processing employee final payments, and providing reliable payroll and benefits support in accordance with Ugandan labour laws, tax regulations, NSSF requirements, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Manage staff compensation and benefits, including implementing plans, providing advisory services, and conducting market research.
Process and administer payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Ensure statutory compliance with tax, NSSF, and other regulatory requirements.
Administer the Provident Fund, managing member records, contributions, and regulatory compliance.
Handle staff terminal benefits, ensuring timely payments and compliance with labor laws.
Compile and submit regular reports on benefits, payroll, and terminal benefits.
Maintain accurate document management and ensure audit compliance.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration (HR Option), or a Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management.
Payroll and Benefits certification.
At least 3 years’ experience managing payroll, staff benefits, and provident funds, preferably in an international NGO.
High computer literacy with strong numerical ability and Excel skills.
Experience with payroll software.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Customer-oriented focus.
Demonstrable accountability and integrity.
High level of flexibility and readiness to work extra hours when necessary.
Must be a Christian and an active member of the Church.
Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
