Job Description
U4I, a health services provider in Nakaseke, is hiring a full-time Counsellor. This role is based in Nakaseke and reports to the Health Services Manager. The organisation focuses on mental health and well-being, offering comprehensive support to the community.
The Counsellor will provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions, helping clients manage personal challenges and improve their mental health. Daily tasks include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapy sessions. The role requires working closely with other health professionals, community leaders, and support staff to ensure holistic care.
This position suits someone with a background in counselling, psychology, or social work. Experience in mental health services, particularly in community settings, is essential. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are key. The Counsellor must be comfortable working in Nakaseke and committed to supporting the local community's mental health needs.
