GRACE Clean Energy & Water Ltd. is seeking an ambitious and experienced General Manager and Senior Salesperson to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. The role involves selling water purification systems and back-up solar power sets to various B2B sectors, including schools, NGOs, businesses, hotels, farms, and medical facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales track record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to generate revenue. Monthly sales targets of at least $5000 are expected.

We are currently recruiting a General Manager and Senior Salesperson at GRACE Clean Energy & Water Ltd. based in Kampala, Central Region, Uganda to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new B2B sales opportunities and prepare proposals and quotations.
Answer customers’ questions regarding product pricing, availability, features, and benefits.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
Contact leads and arrange appointments to present products to prospective customers.
Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships.
Assist the CEO in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
Support the team with sales training, customer service, and presentation skills.
Lead weekly team meetings and individual check-ins.
Ensure customer satisfaction and follow up on complaints.
Oversee debt collection with customer service and external accountant.
Manage and motivate a small, independent sales team.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Present case studies to illustrate product advantages.

Qualifications

University degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration.
At least three years of sales experience with a proven track record.
Experience selling water purifiers, solar-powered systems, and backup power systems is a plus.
Effective communication and networking skills.
Existing network among target customer groups, especially NGOs and local municipality leaders.
Fast learner with excellent leadership and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Knowledge of MS Office and CRM software (e.g., VTIGER or Salesforce).
