Finance Trust Bank (FTB) is now a Tier 2 Financial Institution regulated by the Central Bank of Uganda. The bank serves over 300,000 depositors and 37,000 borrowers through 34 branches nationwide. FTB offers products like Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services, and Bills payments, targeting micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners, and youth.

To support business growth, the Bank seeks a dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented Human Resource Officer – Recruitment.

We are currently recruiting a HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER – RECRUITMENT at Finance Trust Bank (FTB) based in Head Office, Kampala to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including identifying staffing needs, advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
Ensure recruitment practices are fair, timely, and aligned with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
Collect, sort, and file job applications, invite applicants, and prepare interview environments.
Prepare interview summaries and obtain required approvals.
Prepare appointment letters for qualified candidates.
Open personal staff files, assign ID numbers, and ensure proper documentation.
Obtain reference letters and verify academic credentials.
Conduct background checks for new hires.
Update and maintain the staff list/HRMIS.
Prepare and distribute letters as required.
Coordinate salary and employee surveys and make recommendations.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational and Industrial Psychology, or related field.
Minimum of three years’ experience in HR.
Sound understanding of Ugandan labour laws and HR best practices.
Proven communication and engagement skills.
Experience in customer service or client engagement.
Close attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to influence others and build relationships.
Ability to uphold the Bank’s values and work with multifunctional teams.
Integrity is essential.
