Your Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Market Cashier to join our Finance & Market Operations team at Baobab Food Market. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for accurately processing customer payments and ensuring a high level of customer service. This position operates on a shift system, with morning and evening shifts available, allowing you to balance work with your personal commitments.
As a Market Cashier, your primary responsibility will be to handle cash transactions with confidence and precision. You will be issuing itemized receipts to customers and maintaining accurate cash register balances throughout your shift. We are looking for someone who possesses a strong attention to detail to safeguard the revenue generated through market sales, and who can handle cash discrepancies with professionalism.
You will also assist in promoting a positive shopping experience for our customers by providing helpful information and answering any queries they may have. Your interactions with customers will play a vital role in contributing to the overall success of our market operations.
In addition to your daily tasks, you will collaborate with the Accounts Officer and the Food Market Stall Manager to ensure that all financial transactions are reported and documented accurately, facilitating smooth operations within the market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about finance and customer service to grow and develop their skills within a supportive team environment.
