Open Arms Medical Center is seeking highly motivated and proactive individuals to join their medical team as Medical Laboratory Assistants. The role involves performing routine laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a professional and sterile environment.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified Medical Laboratory Assistants at Open Arms Medical Center based in Nansana Municipality, opposite Jeju Motel, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

Collect blood, urine, and other specimens from patients and prepare them for testing.
Perform routine laboratory tests under the supervision of a senior lab technologist or officer.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a sterile environment.
Accurately record test results and maintain patient records.
Interact with patients professionally, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort during sample collection.

Qualifications

Certificate in Medical Laboratory.
Fluency in English and either Luganda, Runyakitara, or Runyankole.
