Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and within the framework of the CPCJ programme, the Individual Contractor will perform tasks related to programme and activity coordination, research and analysis, administrative and operational support, and field missions and communication.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified National Individual Contractor: Project Team Assistant at United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime based in Kampala, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

Support the substantive and operational implementation of CPCJ activities across its six outcomes and related criminal justice reform priorities
Assist in the preparation and updating of activity workplans, implementation calendars, travel schedules, mission plans, procurement trackers, and follow-up matrices
Coordinate administrative arrangements for meetings, workshops, trainings, consultations, missions, and field activities
Draft meeting notes, minutes, activity reports, back-to-office reports, and action-point trackers
Maintain organized electronic and physical records of programme activities
Conduct desk research and compile information on crime prevention, criminal justice, and related topics
Assist in collecting, organizing, and summarizing quantitative and qualitative information
Prepare research briefs, literature summaries, analytical notes, and consultation summaries
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme
Assist in the preparation of procurement plans, requisitions, and terms of reference
Support procurement processes and budget monitoring
Support compliance with United Nations and UNODC rules and regulations
Support field missions within Uganda and stakeholder liaison
Support the preparation of background documents, presentations, and communication materials

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Additional training in administration, project support, law, criminal justice, or related fields is desirable
2 years of work experience in criminal justice, law, programme support, or related areas is required
Experience in administrative services, procurement, logistics, or finance support is required
Experience supporting research, data collection, or report drafting is desirable
Experience working with government institutions or international organizations is desirable
Fluency in oral and written English is required
