Job Description

The Partnerships Officer supports the management and follow-up of partnerships between the TVET Council, industry, employers, and training institutions, with a focus on industry attachments, internships, and apprenticeships.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified Partnerships Officer at TVET Council based in TVET Head Office, 4th Floor, UVTAB Building, Plot 891 Kigobe Road, Kyambogo, Kampala, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

Profile and identify industry and employer partners for TVET collaboration.
Assist in developing and managing partnership agreements and MoUs.
Maintain a database of industry partners and participating employers.
Coordinate industry attachments, internships, and apprenticeship placements for TVET learners.
Support implementation of guidelines and procedures for workplace-based learning.
Monitor placement arrangements and compile feedback from employers and institutions.
Assist in operationalizing incentive mechanisms that promote employer participation.
Support awareness and outreach activities targeting industry stakeholders.
Ensure systematic collection and compilation of data on partnerships, placements, and employer participation.
Prepare routine partnership performance reports.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Development studies, Business Development, Marketing, Economics, Commerce or a related field.
Post graduate Diploma in Humanities or a related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in partnerships management, employer engagement, or workforce development programs.
Experience coordinating internships, attachments, or apprenticeship programs is an advantage.
