Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated PHP/Web Developer to join our team as an on-site developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, improving, and supporting web-based applications and systems. The role requires someone who is comfortable working closely with the team, understanding business requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering reliable and scalable web solutions.

We are currently recruiting a PHP / Web Developer at ThinkX Software to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP.
Develop responsive, user-friendly, and secure web interfaces.
Maintain and enhance existing websites and web-based systems.
Integrate websites and applications with databases, APIs, payment systems, and third-party services.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Perform testing and ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with the project and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions on time.
Monitor application performance and implement improvements where necessary.
Participate in system deployment, updates, maintenance, and technical support.
Maintain version control and follow established software development practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to users when required.
Stay updated with emerging web development technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in PHP development.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience working with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Understanding of web application architecture and REST APIs.
Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Git/GitHub or other version-control systems.
Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness and ability to work on-site.
