Job Description

Masindi District Local Government is hiring a Principal Internal Auditor in Masindi.

You will lead audits of financial and operational systems, assess risks, and recommend improvements. This role suits someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in public sector auditing. You will work independently and report to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Fill in Public Service Commission Form No. 3 (2008) in triplicate.

Collect the forms from the Public Service Commission offices at Farmers’ House, 2nd Floor, Parliament Avenue, Kampala, or from the District Service Commission offices.

Write the post title and reference number on the application.

Attach three recent passport photos and certified copies of your academic certificates, transcripts and slips. Add registration certificates and valid practicing licences if you are a health worker.

If you are already in service, route your application through your Head of Department.

If you hear nothing after the selection exercise, consider yourself unsuccessful.

Applicants already serving in the same scale or post as the advertised job won’t be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Handle the day-to-day tasks of the Principal Internal Auditor position
Respond to queries from clients, staff or the public
Look after office or work-area materials and equipment
Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management
Prepare short weekly and monthly reports
Keep accurate records and update them on time

Qualifications

Ability to work well in a team
Able to work with little supervision and meet deadlines
A certificate, diploma or degree relevant to the Principal Internal Auditor role
Previous work experience in a similar position
Honest, punctual and well organised
