Job Description

UBL is seeking a results-oriented Production & Supply Chain Planner to plan and coordinate production, materials, inventory, and logistics. The primary goal is to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified Production & Supply Chain Planner at Uganda Batteries Limited (UBL) based in Plot 6/8 Kalitunsi Road, Bugolobi Industrial Area, Kampala, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning: Develop and monitor production plans based on demand and inventory requirements. Coordinate production schedules and capacity utilization with manufacturing teams.
Material & Inventory Management: Plan material requirements and ensure timely availability of materials. Manage inventory, safety stocks, and stock movements.
Demand & S&OP: Review demand forecasts and support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Logistics & Delivery: Coordinate dispatch and delivery planning while monitoring service levels.
Performance Tracking: Track supply chain KPIs and prepare performance reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify planning gaps and drive continuous improvement in production and inventory optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in Production Planning, Inventory, or Supply Chain Operations.
Strong knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ERP Systems.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Data Analysis.
Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
