Job Description

Inspire Africa Group (IAG) is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring projects are completed within budget. This position requires a professional with a strong background in quantity surveying and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

We are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor at Inspire Africa Group (IAG) to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects
Monitor project costs and ensure they stay within budget
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Provide advice on procurement strategies and cost-saving measures
Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
Assist in dispute resolution and claims management

Qualifications

BSc in Quantity Surveying
5–8 years of relevant experience
Registration with the Surveyors Registration Board
Membership with the Institute of Surveyors of Uganda (ISU) is an added advantage
