Job Description

Finance Trust Bank is seeking a qualified Relationship Manager – Employee Banking to be based at their Head Office in Kampala, Uganda. As the Relationship Manager, you will be accountable for managing a portfolio of corporate schemes, including companies and institutions that have signed up for employee banking solutions.

In this role, you will act as the key touchpoint for assigned corporate accounts, driving scheme growth, ensuring portfolio loan quality, and coordinating seamlessly with internal branch networks and management teams to deliver high-quality financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for assigned corporate schemes, coordinate communication on service standards, pricing, and product changes, and perform promotional and loyalty activities.
Work with the Employee Banking team, Branch Managers, and Regional Managers to drive portfolio targets through acquisition, retention, and cross-selling.
Work with the Schemes Administration team to ensure timely invoicing and loan repayment, and follow up on non-repayment cases within the portfolio.
Train and support the Employee Banking team on product offerings and ensure high-quality credit files are prepared.
Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution with branches.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key contacts within employer institutions.
Ensure adherence to all credit policies, procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Management, or a related field.
A Certified banking qualification or a Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Banking or similar environment, with exposure to Sales, Schemes, and Relationship Management.
Strong credit analysis skills and business acumen, along with an excellent understanding of Employee Banking product features, pricing, and positioning.
Advanced computer literacy (especially MS Office), numerical skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
