Job Description

Igongo Country Hotel & Cultural Centre is seeking two Sales Executives, one based in Kampala and one in Mbarara, to drive sales and promote the hotel's unique offerings. This proactive B2B and B2C sales role involves pitching the hotel's facilities to corporate clients, tour operators, and event planners, with a focus on regional tourism and event bookings in Mbarara, and corporate clients and city-based travel agencies in Kampala.

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive (2 Positions Available) at Igongo Country Hotel & Cultural Centre.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Implement sales strategies and action plans for assigned market segments
Attend trade shows, promotional events, and industry functions to represent the hotel
Establish and maintain active client accounts with proper documentation
Conduct sales trips, site inspections, and client entertainment to secure business
Provide market feedback on competition and industry trends
Meet or exceed monthly booking quotas and contribute to achieving budgeted sales goals
Maintain accurate records in the hotel's PMS (Property Management System)
Prepare timely reports
Ensure compliance with hotel standards, health and safety regulations, and corporate code of conduct

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality or service industry
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet targets and work under pressure
Proficiency in MS Office and hotel management systems (PMS)
Willingness to travel and represent the hotel at industry events
