Job Description

The overall purpose of the role is to grow the Check Off Loans portfolio within the assigned location month on month by securing and maintaining Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs), booking and converting customer appointments, and leading a motivated team of Field Agents, while maintaining high portfolio quality and customer satisfaction.

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Team Leader (Salary Loans) East & West Region.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, negotiate and sign MOUs with new employers, institutions etc to open up new Check Off Loans channels.
Maintain, renew and strengthen existing MOUs, ensuring compliance with agreed terms by both the institutions and the company.
Build and manage excellent working relationships with institution offices to safeguard smooth deduction and collection processes.
Manage the assigned location effectively, including lead management and business intelligence gathering.
Book and manage customer appointments on a daily/weekly basis to drive lead generation and conversion.
Ensure all booked appointments are actioned, tracked and converted into sales within set timelines.
Follow up with prospective customers arising from MOU's agreements to ensure targets are met.
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the assigned location to identify new business opportunities.
Achieve the monthly target on recruitment of Field Agents and growth of active customer numbers.
Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
Demonstrate strong product knowledge and ensure effective product presentation and promotion to clients.
Manage, mentor, coach and motivate a team of Field Agents, providing training and support to improve performance.
Ensure performance standards and targets are met on a monthly basis through planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job/sales contributions.
Enforce company policies and procedures among the team in the assigned location.
Ensure 100% compliance on assigning and completing weekly route plans and daily activities.
Enforce data clean-up for Field Agents on CRM on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Ensure 100% data capture for all loans disbursed and re-activated under all MOU's agreements.
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, MOU status and appointments.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, operations and other teams to optimize sales performance.
Advise the Regional Manager on all aspects relating to sales, marketing plans and operational issues.
Address customer inquiries, resolve issues and ensure a positive customer experience.
Enforce a zero-tolerance-to-fraud culture within the agents.
Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction in line with the company's policies.
Ensure discipline is enforced and maintained in the team in alignment with company values.
Tracking sales performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement.
Preparing reports and presenting sales results to the Regional Managers.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, Business Administration or related field.
1-3 years of experience managing a sales agents.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Negotiation Skills.
The capacity to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
The ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
The ability to coach and mentor a sales team.
The ability to analyze sales data and identify trends.
The ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
