Job Description

The Security Guard is responsible for protecting UBUCHANGE staff, participants, visitors, equipment, products, facilities, and other organizational assets. The Security Guard shall help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all individuals participating in UBUCHANGE activities.

In this role, the guard maintains active oversight across project sites, training venues, and public event spaces. Key duties involve monitoring access points, keeping accurate security logs, and managing visitor entry to ensure premises remain safe and orderly. The position requires effective communication, vigilance, and swift coordination with management and local authorities during incidents or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

The Employee shall monitor and protect UBUCHANGE offices, training venues, production facilities, market spaces, and project assets.
The Employee shall control access to project facilities and ensure that visitors are properly received and recorded when required.
The Employee shall monitor the movement of equipment, products, and organizational assets entering or leaving project premises.
The Employee shall assist in maintaining order and safety during training sessions, community meetings, exhibitions, market activities, and public events.
The Employee shall immediately report any theft, security incident, accident, suspicious activity, damage to property, or emergency situation to management.
The Employee shall support emergency response efforts and assist staff and participants during emergencies when required.
The Employee shall maintain a daily security logbook and submit reports on incidents and observations.
The Employee shall cooperate with local authorities, community leaders, and emergency services when necessary and authorized by management.

Maintain daily attendance and punctuality.
Keep accurate security records and incident reports.
Ensure project assets and facilities remain secure.
Report security concerns immediately.
Support safe implementation of project activities.
Maintain professional conduct toward staff, participants, and visitors.
Exercise reasonable care in protecting all organizational property entrusted to UBUCHANGE.
Immediately report any loss, theft, damage, unauthorized access, or security breach affecting project assets or facilities.
