Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Visitor Management: Control entry/exit, verify IDs, issue visitor passes and maintain visitor/vehicle registers.
Premises Security & Patrols: Conduct patrols, inspect facilities, secure gates and report suspicious activity.
Asset Protection: Protect company assets and monitor movement of goods, verifying gate passes.
Incident Response: Respond to emergencies, prepare incident reports and escalate serious incidents.
Security Monitoring: Monitor CCTV, alarms and security equipment and report faults.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Support safety policies, participate in drills and report hazards.
Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain occurrence books, patrol logs and incident reports.
Coordination & Support: Coordinate with departments, assist during events and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Relevant qualification or experience for the Security Officer role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of industry best practices.
