Job Description

Nakaseke District Local Government, through the District Service Commission, is accepting applications for the post of Senior Clinical Officer in Nakaseke. The job carries the Public Service Salary Scale U4 Med-2 on full-time terms. The officer will direct clinical care, oversee health center operations, and assist with public health initiatives across the district.

This post suits a medical professional with a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council. Prior experience running clinical departments, conducting minor surgical procedures, and supervising staff in a Ugandan health center level III or IV helps prepare an applicant for this work.

On a typical day, the officer examines outpatients, manages emergency admissions, and conducts ward rounds alongside nursing staff. You will work directly under the Health Sub-District In-Charge, order essential medical supplies, and monitor clinical standards. The position also includes organizing routine disease surveillance, child immunisation, and community hygiene sensitization in rural sub-counties.
