Job Description

Operate, monitor, and maintain UHT dairy production equipment to ensure efficient production, consistent product quality, sterility, and compliance with safety standards.

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Operator at JESA (JESA Farm Dairy).

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production equipment including sterilizers, homogenisers, and aseptic fillers.
Set up machinery for different production plans in coordination with the Factory Engineer.
Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot faults, and minimize production downtime.
Adjust machine parameters including speed, temperature, and pressure to meet production requirements.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn components.
Support maintenance teams in complex repairs and equipment upgrades.
Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure product sterility and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Engineering.
At least two (2) years' experience in a similar position.
Experience in operating and maintaining production machinery, preferably in dairy, beverage, distillery, juice, or other food processing industries.
