The Technical & Quality Assurance Manager plays a vital role in maintaining high-standard diagnostic services across laboratory operations. In this position, you will lead quality control processes, ensure full compliance with national and international regulatory frameworks, and drive the continuous improvement of technical workflows. The role involves managing audit readiness, monitoring equipment maintenance, and ensuring that all laboratory procedures meet rigorous safety and accuracy benchmarks.

As a key leader within the team, you will also mentor technical staff, oversee safety protocols, and build a culture of operational precision to deliver trusted laboratory diagnostic outcomes.

We are currently recruiting a Technical & Quality Assurance Manager at Certa Lancot Uganda based in Bweyogerere, Kampala head office to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee laboratory technical operations, QA systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure accurate, reliable, quality diagnostic services.
Manage technical operations, quality control processes, and standard operating procedures across the laboratory.
Ensure compliance with Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda regulations and guidelines.
Conduct regular quality audits, safety inspections, and technical workflow assessments.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical laboratory personnel to maintain technical standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
5 years' working experience (including 3 years managerial experience).
Certification in GCLP, basic health and safety, and management training are desirable.
