Job Description

Ndere Cultural Centre is seeking passionate and customer-oriented Baristas to join our vibrant team in Kampala. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining and beverage experiences for our guests by preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffees and teas.

In this full-time role, you will maintain an inviting and clean atmosphere, efficiently operate espresso and coffee equipment, process transactions, and engage warmly with visitors. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

An opportunity has arisen for a Baristas at Ndere Cultural Centre based in Ndere Cultural Centre, Plot 4505, Butuukirwa (Ntinda-Kisaasi), Kampala.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and other hot or cold beverages according to standard procedures.
Greet visitors warmly, take accurate customer orders, and provide menu recommendations.
Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and POS payment systems efficiently.
Maintain clean, sanitary, and well-organized work areas, counters, and equipment throughout the shift.
Monitor stock levels for ingredients and supplies, notifying management of any replenishment needs.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in customer service or hospitality roles.
Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer focus with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
