Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and accountable Cashier to join a busy roadside roastery and grill specializing in roasted chicken and goat meat in Mutungo. The successful candidate will manage customer transactions, receive cash and mobile money payments, keep clear sales logs, and deliver customer-focused service. You will also collaborate closely with the kitchen and grilling teams to ensure smooth order flow and timely customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Receive payments from customers accurately for roasted chicken, goat meat, and other menu items.
Record sales transactions properly and issue receipts to customers.
Handle cash and mobile money payments while ensuring complete financial accountability.
Maintain clear and organized daily sales records.
Provide friendly and professional customer service to all patrons.
Keep the cashier work area clean, neat, and organized at all times.
Coordinate efficiently with kitchen and grilling staff to promote smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

UACE (A-Level) certificate of education.
At least 2 years of practical experience working as a cashier, ideally within a restaurant or food service environment.
Proven ability to manage cash and mobile money transactions accurately.
Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
