Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a Manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. Our client SPIRO is seeking an experienced CLARKE OF WORKS to work on-site in Kampala. The role involves tracking and documenting daily progress of swap station construction activities, including civil works, electrical works, 3-phase meter installations, and transformer installations across multiple sites.

An opportunity has arisen for a CLARKE OF WORKS at Q-Sourcing Limited based in Kampala.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Visit assigned swap station sites regularly to observe and record progress on civil and electrical works.
Collect daily vendor/contractor reports from each site, capturing work completed, materials used, labour present, and any issues raised.
Compile and consolidate information into a daily/weekly progress tracker.
Take photos as evidence of progress/completion at each site.
Maintain a well-organized Excel-based tracking system for all stations.
Build clear progress reports/dashboards for the Project Lead.
Flag discrepancies between vendor-reported progress and on-site observations.
Serve as the point of contact for collecting daily updates from vendors/contractors.
Coordinate site access and basic logistics needs.
Escalate safety concerns, site access issues, or vendor non-responsiveness to the Project Lead.
Work closely with the Energy Technical team to escalate issues and support inspections.
Maintain organized records/files for each station.
Support preparation of summary reports for internal reviews and stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Project Coordination, Information Management, or a related field.
2–4+ years of experience in project coordination, site monitoring, data/reporting, or similar roles.
Proven strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, tracking dashboards, formulas).
Experience working with vendors/contractors and consolidating field reports is a plus.
