African Youth Action Network (AYAN) is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to support our financial operations and contribute to our mission of bringing youth together. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant at African Youth Action Network (AYAN) to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets
Maintain and update financial records and databases
Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately
Support the finance team in auditing and reconciliation tasks
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for management

Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Proven experience in a similar role is an advantage
Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
