Job Description

Lead AquaTrust's financial operations as it transitions into a standalone utility. Responsible for day-to-day accounting, payroll, donor compliance, audit readiness, and long-term financial planning. The role involves supervising accounting staff, developing investment-ready financial systems, and ensuring financial integrity and reporting accuracy for funders, investors, and government partners.

Our organisation is seeking a suitably qualified Finance Officer at AquaTrust based in Nansana, Uganda.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of progressive experience in financial management
Preferably experienced in utility, infrastructure, or donor-funded sectors
Advanced knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred)
Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations
