The Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to join their team. This role is part of a larger recruitment drive with 91 vacancies across clinical, technical, and administrative categories. The Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness in UHI's operations.

We are currently recruiting a Internal Auditor at Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) based in Mulago, Kampala to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Collaborate with various departments to implement audit recommendations.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or ACCA is required.
At least 3 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
