Job Description

JESE is seeking a qualified and experienced Production Coordinator to join our team in Fort Portal, Uganda on a part-time basis. In this role, you will oversee and streamline agricultural production activities, ensuring efficient operations, quality output, and adherence to sustainable farming practices across project sites.

The successful candidate will work closely with field teams, local farmers, and organizational management to plan production schedules, monitor field progress, and optimize resource allocation. Success in this position requires a practical background in agronomy or agriculture, exceptional coordination skills, and a proven track record of managing production workflows effectively.

An opportunity has arisen for a Production Coordinator at JESE based in Fort Portal, Uganda.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily agricultural production processes and field activities.
Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, quality standards, and production timelines.
Monitor resource utilization, inputs, and overall yield to maximize operational efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and support to field supervisors and partner farming communities.
Track project metrics and prepare regular production reports for key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in agricultural production management or field coordination.
Demonstrated experience in project planning and community-level agricultural engagement.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
