FarmerSphere Agri-Consult is offering a unique farm placement opportunity for a Veterinary Trainee in Masindi District, Uganda. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or certificate holders in Veterinary Medicine or Animal Health seeking hands-on experience in livestock management. The successful candidate will work directly on a farm, applying theoretical knowledge to practical tasks across poultry, cattle, pigs, and goats.

An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Trainee (Farm Placement Opportunity) at FarmerSphere Agri-Consult based in Masindi District, Uganda.

Working within a supportive team, the post-holder will be expected to plan and prioritise their own workload, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and maintain high standards in every task. Previous experience in a comparable position is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Provide animal health care and disease prevention on the farm
Assist in the monitoring and management of poultry, cattle, piggery, and goats
Carry out routine veterinary activities such as vaccination, deworming, treatment, and health checks
Support biosecurity and farm hygiene practices
Keep accurate records of animal health interventions
Work under the guidance of the farm management and veterinary team

Qualifications

Must have experience in: Poultry, Cattle, Piggery, and Goats
Minimum qualification: A Certificate in Veterinary Medicine or Animal Health
