African Youth Action Network (AYAN) is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our human resources, ensuring alignment with our youth-centered mission and organizational goals.

We are currently recruiting a Human Resource Lead at African Youth Action Network (AYAN) to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, work closely with colleagues across departments, and contribute to the continued success of the organisation. This role suits someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the human resource function, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support organizational objectives
Oversee performance management and professional development programs
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within a nonprofit or youth-focused organization
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and Ugandan labor laws
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
